Reduction Shroud System: The innovative design of the reduction shroud system channels material into the fixed cutting teeth, enabling you to mulch and re-mulch as needed, optimizing your skid steer's eco-efficiency.
Direct Drive System: Our custom-built direct drive system comes with crusher style bearings and a heat-treated tapered 4” drive shaft. It features a robust 130cc fixed displacement bent axis piston hydraulic motor, coupled to a 10” rubber drive coupling, mitigating shock loads transmitted through the bearing box. This bearing box is immersed in an oil bath system with an expansion chamber, maintaining a constant oil level for extended bearing durability. A large drive hub is mounted to the disc, aligning with the taper shaft through a double locking fastening system, ensuring stability and efficiency.
Ease of Maintenance: Our direct drive system eliminates the need for belts, pulleys, or sheaves, transferring 100% of the power directly to the cutting disc. A rubber safety coupler between the hydraulic motor and bearing box provides additional protection from damage.
Features and Benefits:
Standard Tooth Configuration:
Beaver Teeth: Arranged with 8 on top and 14 on the perimeter. Known for their straight edges and durability, Beaver Teeth can be re-sharpened right on the blade. TIP: Rotating beaver teeth prolongs wear life.
Carbide Thumbnail Teeth: Configuration includes 20 teeth at the bottom, 20 holders at the top, and 20 holders at the bottom. Positioned at the bottom of the cutting disc, the Carbide Thumbnail Tooth is the primary mulching tooth, designed for durability.
Bottom Tooth Holder Delete Kits: Provided to cover self-locating extension tooth mounting locations.
Optional Extension Tooth Combo Kit:
Ideal for more aggressive mulching, this kit comprises (7) self-locating tooth holders, (6) carbide bullet teeth, and (6) carbide-faced shark teeth. The disc is machined with (6) counter-bored locations to accommodate this holder. Though recommended at the time of purchase, the Extension Tooth Combo Kit can be added later.
Shark Tooth: A high-efficiency extension cutting tooth, not suitable for rocky conditions.
Bullet Tooth: A medium-efficiency extension cutting tooth, excelling in rocky terrains. Employing the bullet tooth may result in materials being projected at greater distances.
